Investment Update. Our investment cycle is through and we have already started our investment repayment! We are so grateful people are willing to exchange a great return on their dollar for our new classes & community space. Plumbing, carpentry and electric are mostly finished. We should be able to start hosting in early May.

Kombucha Classes with a Master Brewer. We are deeply honored and excited to host Fermentation Maven Vanessa Tortolano for an Introduction and Advanced set of kombucha classes on Wednesday May 21 at 6 PM. Kombucha 1 will introduce you to the world of kombucha and includes a kombucha kit so you are fully prepared to brew and Kombucha II will take you to the next level. Sign up for one or both and have the opportunity to take a deep dive into fermentation.

Mermaid Kitchen Classes. PICKLES Our Feast of the Seven Pickles: Pickles Class is building in popularity and April’s class is sold out! Class participants learn about making brines, adding different spices to different pickles, different methods of pickling, and pros and cons of each. Everyone takes home a teeny pickle notebook with tasting notes and their own jar of pickles. Our next open class is Wednesday May 14th at 6 PM sign up with a friend! VEG PREP I am beyond the moon to be able to teach this class! People my THING is seasonal food and this will be my opportunity to show you how to make some great dishes with what the market provides. This class is vegetarian/vegan friendly and great for anyone who shops at the market. Classes are May 7th and May 28th. This class is going to be the foundation of our Mermaid Kitchen community come join us!

Meet the New Kid

Introducing the Chocolate Chip Rye Bagel! Heartland Grains locally sourced rye added to the cocoa dough along with dark chocolate minichips. Preorder for this bagel comes once a month and the next opportunity is Preorder for 4/26.

Dane County Farmers Market

We’ll be back at the market on the Square Saturday April 12. We’re busy making our tent more organized and bringing more products: bagels, scones, babka & more. We are usually located across from Fromagination on Carroll St. Find Us Here
