What began as a small pandemic bagel popup in January of 2021 has gown to become a full-fledged commercial bakery & food community hub offering fun baking and cooking classes. You can visit us at the farmers market, pick up a preorder, or take one of our popular classes. We love being a part of the Madison food scene!

About Bagel Preorders

Mermaid Kitchen Bagels are crafted by hand in our commercial kitchen on Madison’s East Side at 100 S. Baldwin St., Suite 200. We bake small batches daily using simple, high-quality ingredients — so your bagels are always fresh and full of flavor.

You can find Mermaid Kitchen Bagels at these loations around the greater Madison area:

  • Kitchen Pickup — (East Side) Preorder pickups available Wednesday–Sunday at our kitchen.

  • Dane County Farmers’ Market (@DCFM) — Join us on Saturdays and Wednesdays all summer long on the Capitol Square, between W. Washington Avenue and Hamilton St. or on Wednesday at MLK Drive at 8:30 AM

FAQs

  • Our kitchen is located in downtown Madison at 100 South Baldwin St. Suite 200. It is right off of Williamson Street in downtown Madison in the Madison Enterprise Center. Our kitchen is a commercial kitchen not a retail space but we welcome visitors during preorder pickup hours.

  • Preorders are available through our online shop cashdrop.com/mermaidkitchenbagels.

    On cashdrop you can place an order to be picked up Wed-Sun BUT same day orders must be in by 8am. Pick-up is between 8:30-10:30 at your specified location (Mermaid Kitchen, Cafe Domestique - Allen Street or Sun Prairie Winter Market.

    For ease of pickup we suggest you park on the south side of the building near the green dumpsters and take the elevator up to Suite 200 where your preorder will be packed up and ready for you at our entryway.

  • We are Madison’s only open secret bagelry! Some of the amazing products available in our ever-expanding lineup: freshly made bagels, scallion cream cheese, whipped salted honey butter, labneh, magic cookies and bulk/ground @rustydogcoffee and, seasonally, cold brew.   • Currently our kitchen fulls preorders and brings bakery to local!

    Preordered pickups are available Wednesday–Sunday at our kitchen, Saturdays at the Indoor Farmers Market, and Sundays at Domestique Coffee - Allen Street
